Firebird Spirit works with congregations, spiritual communities, leaders, and organizations seeking thoughtful support during times of transition, reimagining, and change. Drawing on decades of ministry, community organizing, digital innovation, worship leadership, and relational spiritual practice, we offer consultation, workshops, facilitation, and strategic conversation designed to help communities move toward greater connection, adaptability, creativity, and hope.

We recognize that the world around us has changed dramatically. Many traditional models of community engagement, institutional life, and spiritual connection no longer function in the same ways they once did. At the same time, new forms of gathering, belonging, and meaning-making are emerging everywhere — often in unexpected places. Firebird Spirit’s consulting work seeks to help communities listen deeply, discern wisely, and imagine faithful next steps rooted in compassion, authenticity, and human connection.

Much of this work is connected to the Acts of Faith Model — an approach to decentralized, relational, community-based spiritual connection that grows organically where people already gather, live, create, serve, and care for one another. Rather than focusing only on buildings or institutional structures, Acts of Faith explores how meaningful spiritual life can emerge through relationships, shared purpose, creativity, hospitality, learning, service, and community presence. For many, the workbook written by our Executive Director, The Church Has Left the Building, has become a cornerstone of their congregational process.
