At Equinox, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live safely, recover from hardship, and build a more independent future. Since our roots began in 1947, we have served individuals, youth, and families throughout New York's Capital Region, helping people overcome difficult circumstances through compassionate, community-based services.

We provide comprehensive support for people affected by domestic violence, mental health challenges, homelessness, and other barriers to stability. Our domestic violence services include a confidential 24-hour hotline, emergency shelter, individual counseling, support groups, safety planning, and advocacy. We help survivors understand their options, access protection, and take meaningful steps toward rebuilding their lives.

Our youth programs support teenagers and young adults experiencing homelessness, family conflict, or difficulty transitioning into independent adulthood. Through supportive services and transitional housing, we help young people find safe living arrangements, access education and employment opportunities, obtain essential documents, and develop practical life skills.

We also provide mental health services for adults and families, including outpatient treatment, recovery-oriented programs, residential services, and support for loved ones affected by mental illness. Our approach emphasizes personal goals, emotional well-being, recovery, and greater independence.

Through partnerships with community organizations, healthcare providers, schools, volunteers, and local agencies, we work to strengthen the support available to people facing serious challenges.
