At the Legal Aid Society of Northeastern New York (LASNNY), we provide free civil legal assistance to low-income individuals and families across 16 counties in northeastern New York. Our mission is to promote fairness, dignity, and justice by helping people understand their rights, resolve legal problems, and overcome barriers that threaten their housing, income, safety, and stability.

We assist with civil legal matters involving eviction, foreclosure, landlord disputes, public benefits, Medicaid, Social Security, domestic violence, family law, and other essential legal concerns. Depending on eligibility and available resources, our services may include legal advice, representation, advocacy, self-help materials, and referrals.

Through our attorneys, advocates, community education, and partnerships, we work to ensure that financial hardship does not prevent individuals and families from accessing justice and protecting their futures.
