Mohawk Valley Housing & Homeless Coalition (MVHHC) is a regional network of nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and community partners working together to prevent and end homelessness throughout the Mohawk Valley in New York. Serving communities including Utica, Rome, Oneida County, and Madison County, the Coalition coordinates housing assistance programs, strengthens partnerships among service providers, and helps create pathways toward safe, stable, and affordable housing.
As the region's designated Continuum of Care, MVHHC supports a coordinated approach to homelessness prevention, emergency shelter, housing assessments, permanent supportive housing, and community resources. Through its Coordinated Entry System, individuals and families experiencing homelessness can connect with participating providers who assess their needs and help identify appropriate housing assistance.
The Coalition also promotes affordable housing development, community education, research, and collaboration among organizations serving vulnerable populations. By bringing together local expertise and resources, MVHHC works toward a future where homelessness is rare, brief, and nonrecurring, and every community member has an opportunity to achieve housing stability.
