At the American Civic Association, we help immigrants, refugees, and New Americans build successful lives in the Southern Tier of New York. Since 1939, we have worked to create a welcoming community where individuals and families can access essential services, overcome barriers, and preserve their cultural identities.
We provide immigration assistance through Department of Justice-accredited representatives, helping individuals navigate citizenship applications, green card renewals, family petitions, work authorization, and other immigration processes. We also connect newcomers with English language classes, free citizenship preparation classes, employment assistance, educational workshops, and community resources.
Through our refugee support programs, cultural events, and partnerships with local organizations, we help families access opportunities, build independence, and feel connected to their new communities.
Our mission is to help New Americans succeed while celebrating the diverse cultures, experiences, and traditions that strengthen our community.
