An Act of Faith (AoF) is an organic, community-based expression of spiritual connection, compassion, creativity, or care that emerges naturally where people already gather and live. Rather than asking people to come into church buildings, the Acts of Faith model encourages communities to bring presence, relationship, meaning, and hope into everyday spaces — coffee shops, neighborhood groups, online gatherings, senior communities, arts spaces, shared meals, service projects, study circles, and countless other forms. Rooted in the decentralized, grassroots spirit of the 1st-century church, Acts of Faith offers a flexible model for spiritual community in a changing world. Some communities embrace the Acts of Faith model as the foundation for their entire identity and ministry, while others incorporate individual Acts of Faith alongside more traditional structures as a way of becoming more relational, adaptive, and missional.
