Maia (she/her) is a student athlete studying government (with a concentration in American law) and minoring in public policy at Smith College. She is currently an intern working to shape and launch DeepDiig. She's also a part of a research lab at Smith focused on congressional oversight of the Trump administration under united Republican government. She is working on her Department of Government Honors Program thesis on the effect of median Court ideology on issue selection at the certiorari, or agenda-setting, stage.
Maia currently lives in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. Outside of her work, Maia is passionate about her club sports teams, ice hockey and ultimate frisbee. She loves hiking, backpacking, ice skating, and spending time outside.
