Music is the international language thateveryone understands. Through handbells,
we spread the messages of love, peace, understanding, and harmony.
The Ring for Joy! Handbell Choir, now in its third year, has rehearsed weekly and
shared musical offerings in Fellowship of Faith six times during the year – often
performing more than once in each worship service.
We welcomed new members o the choir this year, and continued to be blessed with
Norma C.and Deb S. as “per diem” ringers, always willing to step in when needed!
Rehearsing Wednesday evenings for one hour in the Parks Room at Chestnut Court
of St. John’s Meadows, this group is made up of volunteers. No audition is necessary
and, although prior ringing is helpful, it is not necessary for membership.
Bell ringing not only helps to keep eye-hand coordination strong, but it also provides
a group experience where every member is needed. The camaraderie that develops
among the ringers often carries over beyond the bell choir experience.
If you would like to join us, come by most Wednesday nights during the program year.
(You will be able to hear us if we are in session!) Most recently one of our members
did just that, stopping by to listen and eventually, joining us in ringing.
It’s a lot of fun!
